Abstract
We present a new method for automatically matching feature points over two images for image mosaicing applications: after extracting feature points using a feature detector, we progressively estimate the rotation, scale change, and the projective distortion between the two images by random voting and accordingly deform the template for the matching. Using real images, we demonstrate that our method allows robust matching even when conventional methods fail.
